Design project for a private house in an eclectic style by NG Architects

Eclecticism in interior design means freedom of combinations, character and bold decisions. In this project, we were fortunate to work with a very bright personality as a client, and we created a completely unique concept that fully justified the eclectic style.

In this private house project, we combined modern architecture, Art Deco geometry, soft textures, and expressive lighting scenarios. The interior design is based on contrasts: warm wood and cool colours, brass accents and deep textile shades. This makes the space look cohesive but multi-layered.

Eclecticism as a concept: a balance of architecture and individuality

In the kitchen-living room interior, we used rhythmic wooden panels, a built-in biofireplace and restrained furniture forms. Lamps with complex geometry emphasise the plasticity of the ceiling. This interior design creates a sense of status without overloading the space with details.

The master bathroom has become a kind of accent zone. Here, eclecticism is manifested through a combination of marble, brass and textured facades. The central elements are the Jessi washbasin and Valentino bathtub, which add personality and a premium feel to the interior.

In the design of the master bedroom and children's room, we used an eclectic style to create the effect of a ‘timeless’ interior - to prevent any need for renovation for the next 15 years. Soft furniture elements combined with calm shades in the interior give a constant feeling of comfort.

Working with an existing building: adaptation and precision of solutions

Designing within the confines of existing architecture requires in-depth analysis. We worked with the existing volumes, engineering and load-bearing structures. The architecture of the house dictated its own proportions, and we emphasised them through light and materials.

Particular attention was paid to functional zoning. The bedroom space was designed in soft colours with multi-level lighting. Decorative panels, brass inserts and custom-made furniture create a harmonious design without overload.
